  Operated under the direction of a trained, competent staff, Camp Rothschild offers an array of exciting programs sure to delight our campers. Activities include Archery, Art, Basketball, Computers, Canoeing, Crafts, Drama, Music, Nature, Overnight, Science, Special Events, Sports and Swimming, fishing with a fully equipped playground with a sand exploration ship, large indoor play areas for rainy days, an on-site, in-ground heated swimming pool and a basketball court. In addition, we have weekly themed activities, as shown below:
Week1: International Week
Pack your things and get ready for a trip around the world. In art you will be able to create your "passport" and use it throughout the week for games and activities. Join in our "Around the World in 80 Minutes" activities. Decorate to show off different cultures. Play games that children play in other countries. International visitors as well as our own staff from different countries will be around this week.
Learn dances, songs and activities from around the world! Have fun with languages from other lands and activities from other countries. Become a 4 star chef and learn to make all kinds of delicious international food.
Week 2: MAD Scientist Week *
Its time to create and invent! Grow crystals in our science room, make slime, create your own bubble brew and construct great experiments for the Science Fair! Run around in our crazy obstacle course and work out all your MAD energy!
Listen to your own heart beat and invent a cool machine. Learn to take your heart rate, and make paper bag inventions. Watch Inspector Gadget, put your thinking caps on and be a MAD SCIENTIST working in our ‘lab’ to create a unique and fun project for the "Science Fair".

Week 3: Lights, Camera,Action Week*
A week with activities geared towards Hollywood and the BIG Screen! You will be able to spend time learning new games, creating costumes and making other awesome art projects. Tal to a real camera operator from right here in Syracuse!
Join in a Camp Parade, view videos made by the older campers and make your own costume! Design and create your own costume and help construct a "set" for the videos. Be trained to create your own videos by a professional videographer, build a stage set and perform for a variety show!
Week 4: Space Week *
3-2-1-Blast off! Learn about flight and how it works. Experience kites, rockets and other things that fly. Test your balance in the intergalactic space-walk and tunnel through our mini-space adventure. Paint the rocky surface of Mars, build a rocket ship, and make friends with an alien all in just 5 days!
Remember we also have a spacewalk!!!!!
Week 5: Carnival Week *
A ‘midway’ our way! Everyone can play over 25 games with great prizes! Join in the face painting, all the games and more while you munch on cotton candy, popcorn and other treats. Be an advertising expert and create a prize-winning poster that advertises the carnival games, try your hand at face painting and create soap! Everyone gets to play and have a wonderful time with all of these great activities.
Become masters of the midway, face painters, and lead the games. Take in a round of golf (mini that is!)
Week 6: Planet Animal Week *
Get to know some animals that share your world! Make your very own animal puppets and dioramas of their environments. Our own Zoo; Meet a visitor from the K-9 unit.
Create animal masks and go to the "Animal Zoo". Ask your questions to the K-9 Officer. Bring in your unusual pets for our "Animal Zoo".

Week 7: Olympic Week *
Catch the Olympic Spirit. Watch the opening ceremony and help create your team’s theme. Be a part of the spirit parade by making a beautiful float and cheer on the closing ceremony where everybody wins!
Swim and enjoy non-athletic events, a special art program and join in the closing ceremony! Compete in friendly athletic and non-athletic events. Participate in the opening ceremony, help pass the "Olympic Flame", compete in friendly athletic and non-athletic events and closing ceremony complete with Gold, Silver and Bronze.
Week 8: School of Rock Week* August 14-18
Groovy Baby! Enter our time machine and go back to the swinging sixties. Play a wild game of kick-ball and go up, up, and away with our psychedelic parachute! Bejewel yourself with beads, batik and tie-dying fun.
Tie-dye clothes to make them look ‘far-out’!
A sleepover - rollerskating and a movie is planned for this weeks events.
Bedeck yourselves with 60’s jewelry that you create and play in an air band. Spend the night at our Camp sleepover! Go roller-skating and get down to the groovy music and dance under our disco ball!
Week 9: Circus Week* August 21-25
Girls and Boys - Children of all ages - get ready for the greatest show on earth (or at least in Syracuse!) Get your face painted, design and make your own costume, create your own circus act with props and gags
The finale will be a HUGE circus day under our very own Big Top.

Week 10: Finale Week*August 28-September 1
Say good-bye to summer with a huge week of fun activities and spend the last two days in a Talent Show. Bounce around with the return of our space-walk, learn and enjoy other surprise events.
Finally, another time where you can Walk in Space!!!!!
